On Saturday 26th June we will be providing you with an opportunity to receive practical professional development advice from a range of change management experts. At this workshop you will assess your competencies against those in the Change Management Practitioner Competency Model. As well as getting a good appreciation of the skill topic areas covered by the model you will identify areas you want to develop.

A range of experts will be on hand to provide tips from their many years of experience as well as help you identify opportunities for professional development.

At the end of this workshop you will
1. Understand the CMI Change Management Practitioner Competency model including skill topic areas and benchmark behaviours
2. Identify gaps in your competence as a Change Management Practitioner by assessing your skills against the benchmark
3. Have identified activities which will help you to close the gaps through expert and peer consultation

Expert Bios

Catherine Smithson: Facilitating Change
Catherine is a leading facilitator, educator and consultant in change and leadership. She combines 20 years hands-on experience as a senior manager and a consultant with an in-depth understanding of theory, research and best practices worldwide.

James Carlopio: Strategic Thinking & Thinking and Judgement
James has over 20 years experience in organisational and personal change and has worked on projects for numerous Australian and US corporations. He is also an Associate Professor of Management (Bond University) and has published over two-dozen articles and four books. He has been a regular contributor to executive education and MBA programs.

Dr Tom Schwarz: Influencing Others & Facilitation
Tom is the regional representative for the International Association of Facilitators ANZ region and is a Certified Practicing Facilitator assessor across the Asia Pacific region. His work is known for creative, action-oriented strategies, practical and effective consulting, and system wide organizational development. His areas of expertise include facilitation, team building and team training, individual coaching/mentoring and development planning and individual leadership development.

David Williams: Project Management
David is a Senior Manager in the People & Change practice of global consulting firm Capgemini. He is an Accredited Prosci Change Practitioner with a passion for change at the organisational and personal level. David has used his change expertise to compliment his project experience as a Programme Director. He is a Fellow of the International Association of Project and Program Management.

Prue Robson: Communication
Prue has particular expertise in marketing communications in the support of change management, with over 20 years experience in both in-house and consulting positions. She leads the CMI Communication Skills workshop.

Fran Leys: Learning and Development
Fran has over 15 years experience in Change Management & Organisational Development and has worked in both the private and public sectors, and across the JAPAC region. She specialises in the areas of Behavioural Competencies and Learning and Development. Fran also led the development of the Change Management Competency Model.

Helen Campbell: Competency Workshop Facilitator
Helen is Vice President of CMI and head of CMI Accreditation. She has over 20 years experience in management and leadership in the UK and Australia.
