Today’s change and transformation programs typically occur in challenging and complex environments, characterised by a great deal of volatility and uncertainty. The challenge for today’s change managers is to gain air time and support for their initiative from key stakeholders who may already be experiencing change fatigue.

Successful implementation means getting people to do something different. Even the most eloquent and well-intentioned plan won’t achieve its objective if stakeholders are slow to embrace your change and don’t facilitate your progress.

Managing someone else’s mindset or attitude is never easy or straightforward.

Dr Connie Henson, Managing Director of Learning Quest and author of BrainWise Leadership: Practical neuroscience to survive and thrive at work, will take you through a presentation to provide you with a new approach for managing key stakeholders and easy-to-implement, science-based methods to address resistance, conflict and slowness to adapt. By the end of this event you will:

  • Gain insight into the brain’s natural reactions when dealing with changes – why people react the way they do and how to respond effectively.
  • Learn neuroscience-based, practical techniques to increase self-awareness and facilitate the mindset and behaviours to reduce resistance and avoid unhelpful/reactive behavioural patterns.
  • Learn tools to maintain and enhance their own performance and wellbeing during change implementation.
