Paraphrasing the famous adage attributed to Peter Drucker - ‘what gets measured, gets managed’.

Organisations, large and small, increasingly strive to improve the delivery and outcomes of their change portfolios by developing an enterprise-wide view of change.

While such aspirations abound, and the market offers some solutions to harness the power of change related data, the ‘devil is in the detail’ and depends on what is actually done with the information.

Join the Wellington chapter and our panel of four experts, to reflect on the approaches and challenges of establishing an organisational view of change.

At the end of the session, we will demo a tool created by one of the panel experts for his organisation.

About our Panel of Experts

Stephanie McAlister 
Stephanie fell into change management through seeing change constantly go wrong, which developed a strong desire to help organisations and people create and most importantly sustain meaningful change.

She has held various roles working in operational leadership and change, creating frameworks to maximise change efficiency and optimisation.

Currently Stephanie is doing her Masters exploring change management models in both theory and practical application, and is working towards a PhD in the change management space.

Sonia Morgan 
Sonia is an experienced Change and Implementation Manager who has successfully implemented complex business and transformational change initiatives. She has also had experience building tools to increase change visibility at an enterprise level to support decision making.

Sonia’s career started in Human Resources which has informed her very people focused approach to ensuring that she takes people on the change journey with her.

She is passionate about ensuring that leaders have the information, tools, and skills to prepare their people for change and to support them on their individual change journeys to achieve organisational change.

Jamie Sands 
Jamie is a Portfolio Analyst at the Department of Conservation (DOC) in New Zealand.

Prior to this he was a Change Advisor helping DOC write, and kick off its Digital Strategy.

Jamie has designed a cost-effective and simple change reporting tool, to enable better management and decision making about the changes created by our Digital Strategy. 

Personal change philosophy: Keep it simple.

Kelvin Giles 
Kelvin has been working in change management for over 10 years, with experience on a number of large-scale transformation programmes. He enjoys working at an enterprise level, supporting senior leaders to think and act in a way that enables change to be planned and delivered in an integrated manner.  

More recently, Kelvin has worked to demonstrate the value of Change Management in business planning, to enable better decision-making in relation to the prioritisation and sequencing of planned change.
