Change Leadership: closing the gap between theory and practice (Brisbane, AU)
“The sheer complexity of change today requires a more disciplined, informed, competent and structured approach, underpinned by a highly committed, visible and determined leadership, to support people through the disruptions and uncertainty of change. Quick fixes, while tempting, don’t deliver sustained change. A deeper, systematic, consistent and integrated approach is required now – it is becoming an essential core competency of successful organisations” Change Synergy
So how do we take the theory of change management and put it into practice?
Join us for an evening facilitated by Ian Roughsedge from Change Synergy, as we delve into the question of Change Implementation and explore the People Centred Implementation (PCI) approach.
Ian will facilitate a workshop exploring change leadership and real world application of the PCI model, along with a demonstration of the Roadmap Pro tool and a chance to network with other change practitioners.
About our Speaker
Ian Roughsedge - Founder & Managing Director Change Synergy
Based on his 20 years of practical experience and research, Ian has identified that change capable organisations have specific characteristics that support organisational agility, enabling them to quickly embark on, and more successfully, implement change. Such organisations THINK differently – they focus and have an organisational mind-set & behaviours that are more conducive to change – and INVEST differently – they embed processes and develop capabilities so their people are equipped to act.
Ian has partnered with Deakin University to identify the characteristics of a truly change capable organisation, and has co-authored a whitepaper and developed an evidence based model that can be used to reliably assess and develop organisational change capability.
We acknowledge and thank our event sponsor Escient for their support.
Founded in August 2016 with the goal of inspiring people to think beyond what they see and have the courage to act. Everything we do – from the relationships we build, to the culture we nurture – is in support of this goal. Escient has grown rapidly and was ranked as one of Australia’s top three start-ups by LinkedIn in 2018. In a nutshell, we help clients translate their ideas and vision into a practical strategy and help them execute that strategy.
Our approach is to partner with our clients for the entire journey, from idea to implementation. This means we are often called on to help with strategy, architecture, business cases, market scans and options assessment, change management and project execution, as well as reviewing and recovering in-flight projects.
