Explore your future change role with The Chameleon cards (Sydney, AU)
Chameleon what? The Chameleon Cards are a tactile role design tool, especially developed for:
- Change professionals curious about their potential future roles
- Recruiters, Learning and Development and HR professionals looking to write better position descriptions and set expectations for business partners and candidates
- Hiring managers who need a change person on their team
- Anyone who wants to get into Change from their current career point
In this workshop, we'll briefly cover what's inside the deck, what you could potentially use them for and then it's over to you to play with the cards and discuss how you could use this in your team, with your clients or for your self-development! There are 8 play scenarios which you can try out on the night but the Chameleon cards, true to their namesake’s nature, can have many applications and you should feel completely free to come up with your own way of using them.
The Chameleon Cards are the creation of Gilbert Kruidenier and Peter Phan that was initially a fun idea that got a bit out of hand. Our intention was to create something useful for the Change community, not to create another source of income. That’s why we've decided that all profits from the first batch of 250 cards will go to a local charity that aims to change things for people who need a bit of help too.
Join us for a fun evening of exploring your future change role.
Note: There will be limited decks of cards available to purchase on the evening. For planning purposes, please indicate if you are interested in purchasing a deck of cards when you register – thank you!
About our Speaker
Armed with a pen, paper and a pc, Peter Phan was responsible for making the Chameleon Cards look bright, colourful and happy! Outside of this, Peter also works with organisations to create videos and visuals that help implement change. By breaking down the complexities of change and combining it with some colourful scribbles, Peter creates visual stories that help people understand the "big picture" and how the various changes, projects and strategies all link together.
As managing Director of FLIMP Studios, he's worked with a large number of organisations both big and small, to help explain and implement their change initiatives. Whether it's a company-wide transformation, that key project or an IT upgrade, he's created a visual for them all.
