Project management or change management - what's more important for project success?

Hosted by the Tasmania chapter and generously sponsored by 2PM Services, the Great Debate 2021 will attempt to answer this age-old question...

Six highly regarded leaders with specialist expertise in project management and change management will make their case for which they think is more important. Following the debate, our speakers will participate in a short Q & A to discuss all things projects and change. Join us for the fun!

About our speakers

On the side of change management, the speakers will be:

  • Kerrie Mazengarb established the Change Management Institute in Tasmania and is Chief Change Agent at GSD consulting.
  • Margaret Thompson a seasoned transformation expert and Senior Change Manager with the 2PM Services team.
  • Susanne Schantz a Strategic Manager of Change, customer experience, marketing, digital products and transformation, currently with RACT Insurance.

On the side of project management, the speakers will be:

  • Mel Lukianenko the Managing Director of Ignite project services a leading ICT advisory and project management consultancy.
  • Vaidehi Hardiker the president of AIPM in Tasmania with extensive project experience and currently a Senior Project Manager for UTAS.
  • Richard Wilson an Information Communication Technology Programme Manager in state government with expertise in infrastructure and IT projects. 

Adjudicating the debate will be:

  • Brent Feike an experienced CIO who has led the establishment of both Project Management Offices and Organisational Change Units for state government
  • Martin Anderson head of the ICT in Tasmania and CEO of Ionata Digital and Gulliver tourism research technology.
