LONDON: Transforming Culture
The success of Change and Transformation initiatives are underpinned by many factors but the one often talked about and not actively tackled is that of Organisational Culture.
Peter Drucker famously remarked that “culture eats strategy for breakfast”. No matter how strong the strategy or the resources in place to drive it, if the culture isn’t aligned it is far less likely to succeed. So despite every company having one, it is rarely articulated clearly and when change is afoot and Culture is not part of the equation, the balance of probability indicates we could be in for a rough ride.
Join Rebecca Berry, Head of Culture Change at Lloyd’s Register, along with her colleague Victoria Wright, Programme Lead for LR’s Transformation, as we take a deep dive into why we should care about Culture, why it is important and what Lloyd’s Register have done to convince, coach and mentor the organisation to behave differently.
During the session Rebecca and Victoria will cover
· How culture helps/hinders business success
· The case for culture change at LR
· Practical demonstrations of how to change thinking habits and behaviours
· How culture change is being measured
Rebecca has held a variety of operational and strategic HR roles, from managing policies and processes to directing global restructures.
In her 18 years with LR, Rebecca has had extensive experience leading organisational transformations. Prior to her current role, she was the HR Director for LRQA, one of the three main operating divisions of LR. During her tenure, Rebecca played a key role in delivering solutions in the areas of skills, careers, succession, performance management, change management, attraction and retention.
Victoria has been supporting LR’s transformation journey for the past 2.5 years. Coaching stakeholders and senior leaders in the business to shape the future of the organisation has been the most enjoyable activity in her career.
Before joining LR, she has helped teams across organisations, industries, and countries define their strategic objectives and developed plans on how to best achieve them. With over 10 years’ experience Victoria knows the key ingredients required to transform an organisation effectively with a positive impact to its people and customers.
This practical seminar/workshop will help change managers who need to build and maintain organisational capacity for, and resilience to, continuous change.
