USA: Author Series Webinar
We’re kicking off our first-ever CMI USA Author Series with none other than Richard Smith, lead author of the professional Change Management Body of Knowledge, The Effective Change Manager (published in 2013 by the Change Management Institute). Richard went on to lead the authoring and editorial teams who wrote The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook (Kogan Page, 2014), a book that equips practitioners with the practical understanding and techniques to effectively support change initiatives of all scales.
Join our discussion to get a behind-the-scenes look at how the CMI’s Body of Knowledge and The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook came to be! Richard is a change practitioner himself, and is Chief Examiner for Change Management for the APMG. He can help us all understand how the Change Management Institute’s professional accreditation scheme fits into the wider eco-system of training and accreditation for change professionals around the world.
Audience: this webinar is relevant for current change management practitioners, for those who contract to use their skills – and for anyone involved in a change effort who would benefit from these invaluable CM resources.
Take an hour out to up your game!
About Richard Smith
Richard has been involved in Change Management since well before it had that label! He specialised in the broad Organizational Development agenda (L&D, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Talent Management and Change) in blue chip organizations, before establishing his consulting practice in 1994.
Since then he has consulted in over 40 countries across six continents on leadership and change issues. He is the Chief Examiner for Change Management for the APM Group Ltd (APMG), a leading global professional accrediting body. Under a strategic partnership between APMG and the Change Management Institute (CMI), Richard was lead author of The Effective Change Manager (the professional Body of Knowledge for Change Management) and of The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook, which is a best-selling practitioner text, fully aligned to the CMI Body of Knowledge. He is based near London and now shares his time between consulting work and non-executive Board roles.
