CMI sponsors Convergence Conference, Melbourne AU. Member discounts available.
CMI is both proud and excited to announce our sponsorship of the Convergence Conference taking place on 23 and 24 April in Melbourne. I see a strong alignment between this event and CMI, given its reputation as the Asia-Pacific's only dedicated Change Management Conference.
Now in it’s 3rd year, Convergence is asking “Whose Change Is It Anyway?” Answering this question will be leading international and Australian Change Practitioners in keynotes, workshops and seminars.
Angela Sinikas is an international guest and a leading expert (Forbes) in communication measurement. The concept of 'whose change is it anyway' means we really need to understand people better to assist them in handling change.
Other renowned speakers include Stephen Scott Johnson, the author of Emergent and a leading expert on the building of communities and tribes to foster change. He will walk audiences through the concepts behind building these groups. Dr. Rich Allen is a highly regarded educator and master trainer, with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. His cognitive learning theory research, which provided understanding on how the brain receives, processes, stores, and recalls information, forms the basis for his radical approach to teaching, presenting and facilitating. Other speakers who need no introduction include Dr. Jen Frahm, Zoe Routh and Haydn Thomas. You can find out more about these speakers and their subject areas here.
The Convergence two day program is designed to cross boundaries between sectors and bring together all forms of professional disciplines. Convergence is attracting a wide variety of both industry and seniority.
Attendance will give you the opportunity to connect with your peers, share insights, discover new ways to collaborate and also fulfil professional development objectives by attending expert-led workshops and masterclasses.
Some areas of practice will include Change management, Project Management, Learning and training, Stakeholder engagement, Business management and User experience and analysis.
This is a topical, relevant and interesting forum and is sure to richly inform your Change Management practise in the coming months. Not to be missed by anyone dealing in Change. Read on for more details and links!
About the Convergence Conference
What is the change you want to create?
Whose change is it anyway will take you on the journey of how to build a people movement, sharpening your understanding of who’s involved, tackle the challenge of when leaders go missing in action, keeping your people engaged through the disruption, how to tackle teaching new capability and finally bringing it all together into your professional practice.
The Convergence Conference 2018 program runs for two days with six keynotes and over 20 masterclasses.
If you can’t get to Melbourne, the organisers will have keynote videos available for purchase after the event. This provides you with access to leading edge thinkers perspectives on ‘whose change is it anyway’.
