How can Leaders ‘Be’ & Shape Change Success?
What are the different types of mindsets that affect how we lead and participate in change and transformation?
Is it possible to measure and improve our mindsets to become more effective change leaders?
These are some of the questions that Richard Clarke explored in his dissertation. He collaborated with Kathy Coleman to create a mindset questionnaire that assessed the Growth, Outward, Promotion, and other mindsets of change leaders.
Richard is a Masters Student in Business Psychology at the University of East London and Kathy is a Women’s Leadership Coach
In this event, Richard and Kathy will share recent research in change leadership and mindset and explore some possible implications of their research that could help change leaders enhance their performance and outcomes. There will be an opportunity to answer any questions from the audience.
This event is for members who are interested in learning more about mindset and change leadership, especially those who are working in roles and/or organisations undergoing change.
As the Middle East’s transformation accelerates, the growing importance of Change Capability is becoming more significant in delivering successful outcomes across various sectors and in support of the region’s long-term economic diversification and growth.
World leaders made ambitious announcements at COP28 in Dubai and the work begins in managing the implementation of meeting those goals in announcements.
Join us to hear from leaders in the region spearheading digital and sustainability change. The panel discussion will explore the below and more:
Come and join us in Christchurch and hear from a local team, Kellie Cowper, Change Manager at Chorus and Andy Bradwell, Head of Change Management at Chorus, who will share their story about the successes and challenges of establishing their Practice in a large national organisation.
We will also hear from Jen Church, Digital Change Manager Christchurch City Council about her experiences with establishing and leading the practice at Kapiti Coast District Council.
We will also have plenty of opportunity to kōrero amongst ourselves about our own experiences and learn some tips and tricks from each other.
It will be a great night of learning and shared discussion, we look forward to catching up with you all!
Our new transformational Change Portfolio Management (CPM) training course will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to apply CPM principles and techniques to drive successful change execution.
The course will introduce you to foundational concepts of CPM through discussions, interviews with experts, self-reflection, and group activities. The training is delivered over 4 consecutive half-days.

Helped me to understand how to drive some of the harder conversations with decision making audiences, as well as giving that helicopter view needed to support those conversations vs getting too stuck in the detail of individual initiatives.
Very relevant content and I think it’s highly applicable too. I’m glad I’m investing myself to do this course now 🙂
Have already set up a meeting for my project director about how we manage change across a branch. Plus have shared the risks – they are gold! I will be adding to my LinkedIn and CV tonight!
Pre-requisites
This course assumes prior knowledge regarding change management concepts and change/project delivery language. Participants must:
I feel like I have the tools, theory and practical examples to take our CPM approach from infancy to adulthood (or at least teenager!) and be able to demonstrate the benefits of doing so to leadership and program delivery colleagues.
I particularly enjoyed the section on storytelling and creating that change narrative for the portfolio to inspire and refocus people.
The small group setting for this course was very helpful in enriching the discussion and building connections.
