The South East chapter invites you to see how the new Adaptability Quotient (AQ) – used by first movers like IBM, Dell, and Mastercard – makes business change easier, faster, and more fruitful for you and those you serve.
Our Change Management Institute South East chapter co-leads; David Santineer and Katja Norman Buller, will share their AQ expertise. David will introduce us to the AQ tool and define its value for us as Change Practitioners.
Katja will share her experiences of using AQ and how it helped her and the team around her to manage changes they were going through.
Register today. We look forward to seeing you there!
Ten years ago, Author Paul Gibbons began to question some of the tools he had been using in change management since 1994. Was change management as we know it dying? Do learning styles predict learning?
This initiated a journey that began with The Science of Organizational Change in 2014 (2nd ed. 2019.) That book was the first to bring behavioral science and several other ideas to the global change community.
In 2022, he joined IBM consulting as their thought-leader in change, culture, and leadership – with a remit to upgrade their change methodologies. That led to deeper understanding of the mechanisms that prevent change changing.
Now back on the circuit as a keynote speaker (on AI chiefly in 2024 – what a surprise) – he has just completed The Future of Change Management – a ten chapter book with contributions from 10 global thought-leaders in change.
Join Paul as he discusses why he wrote the book, what the big messages are, and why (sometimes) change doesn’t want to change.
One of the most intransigent challenges of meeting our change goals lies in convincing people to willingly embrace new attitudes, behaviours and ways of being.
Join special guest Matt Marsh and the London chapter for this fantastic opportunity and learn how to Solve the Hidden Human Side of Change.
Hear Matt discuss:
We will break out into small teams to explore through conversation, debate and ideation how we might collectively address some of the most pressing challenges associated with addressing the human side of change.
We will finish with short presentations from each discussion group along with a general Q&A.
Our new transformational Change Portfolio Management (CPM) training course will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to apply CPM principles and techniques to drive successful change execution.
The course will introduce you to foundational concepts of CPM through discussions, interviews with experts, self-reflection, and group activities. The training is delivered over 4 consecutive half-days.
Great news: you can bundle purchasing the CPM Foundation Training Course and the CPM Advanced Training Course – just click on the register buttons to proceed.
Helped me to understand how to drive some of the harder conversations with decision making audiences, as well as giving that helicopter view needed to support those conversations vs getting too stuck in the detail of individual initiatives.
Very relevant content and I think it’s highly applicable too. I’m glad I’m investing myself to do this course now 🙂
Have already set up a meeting for my project director about how we manage change across a branch. Plus have shared the risks – they are gold! I will be adding to my LinkedIn and CV tonight!
Pre-requisites
This course assumes prior knowledge regarding change management concepts and change/project delivery language. Participants must:
I feel like I have the tools, theory and practical examples to take our CPM approach from infancy to adulthood (or at least teenager!) and be able to demonstrate the benefits of doing so to leadership and program delivery colleagues.
I particularly enjoyed the section on storytelling and creating that change narrative for the portfolio to inspire and refocus people.
The small group setting for this course was very helpful in enriching the discussion and building connections.
